Dear Fans of Everhaunt,
We just wanted to write that due to the several feet of snow that hit our area, and more forecasted for overnight tonight, we have decided to cancel our event for tonight – Friday the 13th, Dark December. While this is extremely disappointing, nothing is more important than the safety of our team members and guests. Many guests have already called inquiring if they can get a refund for this event because of not feeling comfortable driving.
For 6 Weeks we have worked tirelessly to create a one-of-a-kind event for the holidays. For the last 25 hours we have worked around the clock clearing snow and planning to open. In fact, we just left the haunt an hour ago after moving hundreds of donations through the snow to our donation trailer to clear the lobby. We were even improving the already improved holiday audio to ensure that the experience was even more over the top. We ordered hundreds of new Christmas themed items for the Delaware Creek Horror Bootique and ordered hundreds of Santa hats and party favors to pass out to all guests who came through. We added thousands of Christmas lights and decorations, dozens of new costumes and characters, snow machines, laser guns and special effects to make the event one-of-a-kind. The event was 12 tickets away from a sell out and would have easily sold out today.
Needless to say, this is not what we had hoped for, and like the power outage earlier in the year, is devastating for us. We will be refunding tickets to the original form of payment within 2 to 4 days. Please keep checking your email and be patient with us. This will take us several days to process all the refunds as they must be done one by one with our credit card processor. At this point we have emailed all attendees this message and will be calling each party tomorrow between 11a and 1p to make sure everyone is notified.(and in case an email is missed.)
UPDATE: 5/29/2025 – Haunted Christmas in July Cancelled – Refunds have been given to original forms of payment. Please wait 24-48 hours. Any issues email us everhaunt@gmail.com
Thank you for reading. and please be safe.
