Update 7/24
To all the EverHaunt Friends and Family… this post is a tough one considering how great our first season was, and we cannot thank you enough for that support over the last year.
Due to the ongoing public health concerns brought on by the coronavirus pandemic we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season. This was not an easy decision, but after speaking with state officials, other local amusement operators, our team members and our family we felt it was ultimately the right thing to do. The safety of our team members, family and guests has always been our number 1 priority.
Our plan is to continue to update our attraction and be ready for an amazing 2021. We appreciate your continued support, your understanding and we are sorry if this disappoints anyone as we are disappointed as well. 😢😢😢 (7.24.2020)
Update 4/1
Hey Everyone,
We wanted to start off by writing that we hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We have had many folks ask us how the current pandemic will affect our haunt season, and the truth is at this point we really don’t know. We have to wait and monitor, but we can assure you that if we are able to open we will have many, many new increased safety measures. If we aren’t able to open that is OK as well. Nothing is more important than the safety of our friends, families and neighbors.
Several of us at Everhaunt are essential employees in our day jobs. Every day we have to review the guidelines from the CDC, WHO as well as local and state officials in terms of how this is progressing and how to handle the current situation we are in. This will help guide our decisions come the fall if we are able to open. As everyone has seen, it changes every single day. We have also looked at reports from several major amusement parks to see how they may handle this situation if and when they can re-open. Additionally we have exchanged emails with the NYS Department of Labor and have also will seek their guidance as the season approaches.
Again.. if we are able to open we plan on putting in serious safety measures to ensure that our guests and team members are safe.
As of now here is a small list of items that we are working on at this point so that way if we are able to open our guests and team members will be safe: (please note as we get closer to October this list will update based on those recommendations from the CDC, WHO, Local and State Officials)
We understand that it’s only April and we have 5 months until haunt season, and a lot can happen in 5 months, but we felt it was important that we start to put plans in place now for whatever may happen.
We will start doing some updates periodically on the website so stay tuned to the “updates” section of our page.
Stay Home. Stay Safe. Stay Strong.
