Every Halloween, we hear the buzz about the BEST and SCARIEST haunted houses and Halloween attractions, So, after taking a hiatus in 2020 due to many attractions being closed, we brought back our annual Top Haunts poll for a sixth year – giving the fans an opportunity to nominate and vote for their favorite attractions.
This isn’t a list of paid positions like other websites are known to offer. This is 100% true and fair fan voting! Fans nominated a list of more than 150 haunts around the U.S. and Canada. Then, throughout the month of October, fans had the opportunity to visit the attractions. The last weekend in October, those same fans voted for their favorite haunts. After a VERY competitive race, with thousands of votes, here are the selections that YOU, the FANS voted as Coaster Nation’s 2021 Top Haunts! Some were separated by just ONE single vote!
1. Niles Screampark – Niles, MINiles Scream Park is not just scary, it is considered by many to be one of the top haunted attractions in the country! Certainly one of the largest, the attraction offers 44 acres of blood-curdling fear! Niles prides their-selves on rebuilding all six major attractions each year to provide guests with completely new and unique shows. The professionally designed sets and ingenious scare-tactics (as well as a enormous fan base) led Niles Scream Park to be recognized as Coaster Nations Top Haunt in 2021!
Niles Screampark is known for helping the community. In 2020, the park donated more than $109,000.00 to local charities. The Niles Scream Park is a non-profit community project that uses approximately 150 to 200 volunteers per night to staff its various attractions. These volunteers represent over 65 Michiana area community and school organizations such as Boy Scout groups, church youth groups and booster groups for colleges and high schools. Since 1996, more than $2,100,000.00 have been donated to local and national non-profit organizations, as well as the Niles Scream Park funded college scholarships for students at Niles, Cassopolis, Brandywine, Dowagiac and Edwardsburg High Schools. Congratulations to Niles Scream Park on being voted the #1 attraction of Coaster Nation’s 2021 Top Haunt award!
